Knowing the Arabic language is not the same as knowing Islam. Being able to read and write in the language the Qu’ran was revealed in is not tantamount to having guidance from Allah, the ability to employ ijtihad, understanding of the Asbāb al-nuzūl, etc.

There was a Bomb explosion at the Ataturk international airport in Instanbul, Turkey. Reports are 39 have been killed with 147 injured. This bombing has absolutely nothing to do with Islam. It is an act of terrorism and is 100% unequivocally condemned by quranguy.
The extremists and islamophobes use the same tactics. Both take verses (ayat) from the Qur’an at face value and in isolation to support their assertions. Never providing anything of substance and value. Such as – context, a logically valid exegesis, and so forth.
Only difference between the two is their goal. The islamophobes are trying to direct people away from Islam and against Islam. Where as the extremists in many cases are trying to justify certain criminal acts.
Whether Muslim or non-Muslims we should all abhor this and take a firm stand against it.
1. These kind of tactics are not intellectually honest, and 2. they stymie true intellectual discourse.
